OVERVIEW
Being a gladiator may be a tough and depressing life. Jaximus believes he will always be bound by this horrific fate as he has long grown weary of the deception about his existence and the harsh reality of battling in the arena.
But when Flavius, a wealthy and influential nobleman, makes him an alluring promise of freedom that almost sounds too good to be true, everything changes. He must first demonstrate his worth by passing a “little” exam, though.
Will his opponent thwart Jaximus’s quest for independence, or will he be able to take advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity?
