ABOUT THE GAME
You recently ended a disastrous long-term relationship, and your friend Millie is taking you out to a club to help you get over it. She eventually becomes sidetracked and leaves you alone at the bar.
That is when you are approached by a tall, attractive stranger…
The Vampire’s Pet is a visual novel about abandonment, addiction, and codependency.
The Vampire’s Pet is around 8,000 words long. Every decision you make in the game has a major impact on the plot. There are three different endings, each with a unique tone.
HOW TO PLAY (Keyboard)
Use Enter to advance dialogue and activate the interface.
Press Space to advance the dialogue without selecting choices
Hit the Arrow keys to navigate the interface.
Press Escape to access the game menu.
Use CTRL to skip the dialogue while held down.
Select Tab to toggle dialogue skipping.
Press the Page up to roll back to the earlier dialogue.
Press the Down page to later dialogue
Press H to hide the user interface.
Use S to take a screenshot.
Use V to toggle assistive self-voicing.
Press Shift+A to open the accessibility menu.
HOW TO PLAY (Mouse)
Left click– Advances dialogue and activates the interface.
Middle click– Hides the user interface.
Right-click– Accesses the game menu.
Mouse Wheel up click rollback side– Rolls back to earlier dialogue.
Mouse Wheel down– Rolls Forward to later dialogue.
