A test project that went horribly wrong was Kat’s Day Off. Being somewhat inexperienced with Itch, I had created it for a small group of friends and failed to appropriately restrict its audience. This is significant because I did not create the artwork for the original Kat’s Day Off. In particular, the artwork for Kat, our title character. And in my mind, that artwork changed from placeholder to stolen the instant it broke containment. Whatever I mean.

I initially only concealed the webpage, but I soon began receiving inquiries about its location and whether I would restore it. At that point, I made the decision to replace and recreate it. Commissioning art, if I had to, since I had yet to start using Koikatsu. And around that time, Covid happened. After that, I never had the motivation to try. ‘No one cares’ or ‘It’s not worth the effort’. It was only when I saw people looking at it again after I created SpaceTimeless that I realized people still enjoyed it and that they deserved something that wasn’t made with a Picrew and a stolen art asset. So, this is for you all. Who finally got me to get off my ass and do it justice.
