ABOUT THE GAME
You take on the role of a modest scholar who, together with his charming assistant, is invited to accompany a noblewoman on her journey into the unknown and re-discover the long-lost location of the cradle of humanity in the adult visual novel The Velan Reach, which is set in a distinctive steampunk sci-fi environment.
However, as you get to know the other people on your expedition—each of whom has their own reasons for being there and motivations for engaging with you—you quickly find yourself enmeshed in a web of intrigue.
As you deal with the events that transpire during your voyage, you will encounter a variety of individuals, including robots and aliens, while visiting unusual and exotic new locales. Along the journey, you will discover more about them, understand why they are there, develop a close relationship with some of them if you want to, and encounter obstacles that can make you all reevaluate your initial objectives.

GAME PLAY
The Velan Reach – Book One is an adult visual novel focused on character-driven storytelling and slow-burn romantic development with the love interest(s) of your choice—while still offering plenty of optional adult diversions along the way, if you so choose.
Multiple love interests can be pursued simultaneously, with no requirement to choose between them. In fact, several storylines intertwine and react to one another, and players are encouraged to explore all relationships at once to experience the full breadth of the narrative.
There are no dead ends, no sudden game overs, and no situations where you’ll be locked out of a character’s path due to a missed “correct” choice or an accidental flirt. Any decision that carries permanent consequences for a relationship is clearly marked, and you will never be forced to choose between love interests.
For players who prefer extra guidance, the game includes optional built-in walkthrough tools—providing guardrails without undermining player freedom or experimentation.
Sexual material
Since this is an adult visual novel, there will be a variety of sexual encounters between the main character and their romantic partners, as well as perhaps between romantic partners if they are dating the main character. Every effort will be made to make sexual contact optional. Note that the tone of this game is sex-positive and wholesome, and there are no “dark” themes either depicted or implied.
Progress
The first part of the epic quest to reclaim the location of humanity’s home world is told in Book One of The Velan Reach. There may be as many as six chapters in it. While the first chapter is accessible at launch, chapters two through six will be made available to game owners at regular intervals as free DLC.
Depending on the topic, each chapter will take many months to develop. Chapter 2 is anticipated to be published no earlier than the second half of 2026.
