Neon Effect is an interactive adult visual novel that features light gameplay elements and a dating sim in a simplified point-and-click setting.

Technology will dominate everything in the far future. As ubiquitous as tattoos, cybernetic body enhancements (CBE) are practically necessary to survive. But androids, a recent technology, are becoming more and more popular. Androids have been gradually assimilating into society, working as everything from store clerks to housekeepers. IMPORTANT NOTES

This is the game’s current demo! As it is, you can play for a few days to experience the tale in a simplified manner with few gaming mechanics. You can explore a special sandbox area outside of the visual novel section to fully immerse yourself in the Neon Effect universe.

For the greatest experience, I strongly advise downloading the game even if it uses the Ren’Py engine. I’ve been pushing this engine very hard, and because of browser constraints, the web build can’t keep up with the many moving parts and sophisticated graphics gimmicks I used.
