18 Mile Hike

18 Mile Hike is an anthology of short stories celebrating the different kinds of horror within the broad genre. Each story will take on a different character’s perspective, and present a different kind of story from the many diverse subgenres of horror.

ABOUT THE GAME

Deep in the Appalachian mountains, Baxter’s grandparents and their friends established a covert society of storytellers in the 1970s. These folklorists, who were partially based on the adventures of Mary and Percy Shelley, would only hire the best actors and writers, who would practice and teach their trade over a fire. Depending on who you ask around town, they may have been a local treasure or a collection of elitists, but their performance abilities were legendary among the elder town residents.

Their grandchildren have brought the movement back to life in 2025. Several times, with varying degrees of success. They are all now adults with their own goals and challenges, and times have been difficult. However, their shared appreciation of horror keeps them together.
