Yuel was destined to rule Asdra from birth.

After his father passes away, Yuel, who was just eighteen at the time, ascends to the throne and finds himself in charge of the entire nation without having been adequately prepared for such a huge task. Yuel’s reputation among his people and advisors is damaged by a string of bad choices, and eventually, his own cousin Tavi launches an uprising to remove him from office.

After just over a year of his turbulent rule, Yuel is removed from his position of influence and authority due to Tavi’s successful rebellion. After being brought down to earth, Indra’s previous monarch is locked up in the palace’s dungeon and allowed to wither.

Yuel convinced that his life is about to end, demands that his older cousin come quickly and put him to death. Indra doesn’t need two lustful men fighting for the title of ruler of their nation, and keeping Yuel alive would only serve to further polarize it. Why is Tavi unable to complete the task he began?

But Tavi is stuck in a state of paralysis because of uncertainty. Tavi decides to keep Yuel kept away inside the palace after persuading all of his advisors that he has killed Yuel since he is incapable of killing a member of his own family. Yuel is not impressed with Tavi’s attempt to show some kindness toward his younger relative. How dare Tavi, who has practically ruined his life and lost all respect in the process, attempt to reach out and make amends?
