Cosmic Lust

Don’t bring large aircraft here; all you needed was a summer residence near your closest friend. The house appeared to be the ideal answer. But what’s the truth? No flawless tan. Your housemates express their disinterest in having you around and are aloof and cold. This isn’t exactly easy for someone who’s always kept to themselves.

The days go by quickly, filled with uncomfortable looks, awkward silences, and an effort to fit in. However, something is wrong. Occasionally, you get the impression that the home itself is holding its breath and that things are altering in ways that are beyond your comprehension. You make an effort to ignore it, but the sensation lingers, particularly after an odd night when you go out to decompress.

You feel as though the world has changed. An inexplicable energy causes the air to quiver, and the sky briefly appears to expand and distort as though reality itself were… bending. It seems as though something is simply out of your line of sight, and you are unable to determine whether you are prepared to confront it or not.

Finding your place in an incomprehensible world is the theme of the story Cosmic Lust. It’s difficult to tell what’s true between your strained connections and your rising sensation that something isn’t right.

Is there something else going on, or is it all in your head? Outside?
