The year is 1018.
The once-proud kingdom of Aincrad was devastated by an enigmatic epidemic.
This disease disproportionately affected men, and the patriarchal society that has been dominated by men from the beginning of time collapsed.
A militant women’s group known as “the Frauwinstaz” seized the opportunity to start a rebellion. They overthrew the monarchy, destroyed the previous system, and installed a brutal matriarchy.
Once the dominant force, men were now marginalized, deprived of their authority, and regarded as inferiors and weaklings.
The season is spring in 1020.
The self-centered, conceited foreign mercenary “Axel” and his slave “Freya” arrive at the borders of the kingdom.
An amazing story opens.

Release chaos in a kingdom on the verge of civil war. In the strategic role-playing game Axel, you take on the role of Axel, a self-described hero with a dubious reputation. Forge your route across the politically charged realm of Aincrad’s empire.
Accept the cruelty. Axel has no problem getting his hands filthy. Create havoc in your wake by becoming an expert in the art of strategic fighting. Always swing first, and ask questions later.
Rule the bedroom and the battlefield. You declare yourself the “Hero of Humanity,” and gorgeous women come flocking to you. MonogaSYNOPSISloser’s game. Instead of swinging your steel sword, pull out your flesh sword and defeat some “forts” for yourself.
This isn’t your usual tale of a hero’s quest. Axel pushes you to reach your goals by providing a sophisticated perspective on the SRPG genre. Construct your army, outmaneuver your rivals, and wreak havoc on the opposition to achieve total dominance

Use the Esc or right mouse button to cancel.
Press Ctrl to speed up dialogue and battles.
Click the right mouse button to skip dialogue and battles.
PS: Playing with a controller is also possible.
PS2: Transferring saves between game versions is easily done through copying/pasting the save folder.
