Furthermore, certain huge custom levels may lag because of Ruffle emulation, particularly those with a lot of tiny bits, physics objects, or locations where the ragdoll’s blood particles can spawn. Additionally, Ruffle’s ongoing ActionScript 3 support may cause some levels to behave differently than they were intended. It could be necessary to rewrite a lot of code in order to optimize this.

ABOUT THE GAME

Back in 2024, I reached out to Will Perone and managed to get the original source code for Beat Me Up Too after wondering whether the game could be restored. I ended up shelving the project for a while, but after revisiting it recently, this release is the result.

The game has now been rebuilt with the full-version content enabled, along with every archived level that could be recovered from 2017. You can browse them through the new level select menu, and there’s also a special category featuring levels that were once highlighted on the original Andrograde website.

So what does the game include?

A wild lineup of 10 playable characters — smack around Torture Politician Guy, take on the spiky-haired Anime Guy, or help Ninja Guy unleash chaos.
More than 30 weapons — from war hammers and scimitars to completely ridiculous choices like stuffed deer heads and rubber duckies.
A built-in level editor — not impressed by the 4,000+ classic community-made stages included? Create your own twisted levels, copy the level code, and share them with others online.
