ABOUT THE GAME

You are traveling across the nation to return home from college. Though they have changed since you left, your housemates still reside at home. Although your landlady’s business has expanded, she hasn’t had the opportunity to move on romantically. Can you successfully navigate the altered lives you are attempting to reintegrate into?

ABOUT THE PROJECT

My first Ren’Py project is this one. You are free to be as forgiving or helpful as you wish. I’m still picking up a lot of knowledge from this. The game’s actual introduction still comes first. There are already a few decisions that can alter one’s course, and more will come. Throughout the chapters, I want to introduce at least three more characters. There won’t be a sandbox, but there will be impactful, story-driven, free-roaming activities. Not a grind.

ABOUT THE FUTURE

I’ll add animation if there’s desire and I can figure out how to do it. Simply said, I don’t want to add cheap animation that consists of pictures that are ten frames apart. To test this, I intend to include an animation in the beginning. The landlady has not yet been introduced in the version of this that I have provided, so the introduction is still in progress.

HOW TO PLAY (Keyboard)

Use Enter to advance dialogue and activate the interface.
Press Space to advance the dialogue without selecting choices
Hit the Arrow keys to navigate the interface.
Press Escape to access the game menu.
Use CTRL to skip the dialogue while held down.
Select Tab to toggle dialogue skipping.
Press the Page up to roll back to the earlier dialogue.
Press the Down page to later dialogue
Press H to hide the user interface.
Use S to take a screenshot.
Use V to toggle assistive self-voicing.
+Press Shift+A to open the accessibility menu.

HOW TO PLAY (Mouse)

Left click– Advances dialogue and activates the interface.
Middle click– Hides the user interface.
Right-click– Accesses the game menu.
Mouse Wheel up click rollback side– Rolls back to earlier dialogue.
Mouse Wheel down– Rolls Forward to later dialogue.
