OVERVIEW

A filthy fantasy realm with bizarre creatures and bizarre circumstances. Dream modifications gradually seep into reality, changing and distorting the primary characters as well as the entire environment.

When our unfortunate protagonist awakens from an odd dream, he discovers that he has been slowly becoming into the enigmatic female he encountered in that dream.

While he looks for a solution to reverse these changes, he pretends to be a nonexistent person and blends in as a new female at school to prevent the alterations from becoming permanent.

Discovering their complicated ties with reality and the dream world, he leans on his pals Yuri, Kari, and Nanami for assistance. Yuri, who has constant nightmares, thinks that having him in her dreams may provide her with occasional moments of calm. Nanami sees the dream world as a fantastical escape from the hardships of her life. Kari hides a dark fractured psyche…

GAMEPLAY

A life sim. During the day the protagonist attempts to maintain life by interacting with this world’s characters and engaging in activities to manage a stat system.

The dream world. At night the protagonist attempts to solve esoteric puzzles while navigating a monster-filled dream world.

CONTROLS

The default scheme aims to simulate typical RPG maker controls as well as WASD standards. Otherwise, controls can be remapped if needed.

Limited mouse support: Movement, some in-game menu navigation.

Scenes

Environments are a mix of my sprite work and various asset packs rescaled, edited, or redrawn to better fit character proportions.

Characters

A humanoid character consists of many interchangeable hand-drawn sprites that layer on top of each other.

Dialog and Visual Storytelling

The narrative is told through dialog and visual storytelling. No prose. Player choices can be superficial or story-altering.

Tone

The tone ranges from slice-of-life comedy to existential horror. Or so I’m told.
