The Cold War peaked in November of 1962. A new worldwide conflict is on the verge of becoming nuclear just weeks after the Cuban Missile Crisis.

It is your responsibility as the new switchboard operator at the White House to ensure that long-distance discussions don’t go awry. Prepare to make a phone call.

You take over a telephone switchboard in Cold Calling, where you must route diplomatic calls between the US and the USSR while interacting with the game’s cast of parodied world leaders.

You will need to manage incoming waves of calls and carefully direct them from caller to recipient using loose cables on the switchboard and a variety of bizarre devices.

Funny character interactions intersperse the fast-paced puzzle gameplay in this world-traveling adventure where your decisions impact the plot.

PLAYING GAMES

To keep calls on the line, learn how to operate the switchboard:

Real-time call routing that moves quickly. To make “call dots” travel across the board, drag wires around. Utilize a small number of wires to manage up to four calls simultaneously.
A collection of ridiculous devices. Pick from 25 different devices to simplify your work. Simple speed modifications to ridiculous themed devices like a UFO, a pirate cannon, or…a slice of cheese?
Enjoy the humorous tale while taking a break. Every wave concludes with a beat from a short narrative that highlights the antics of numerous historical people who have been caricatured.
Take control of the enigmatic Time Phone. With the help of this top-secret government technology, you may communicate with historical figures from both before and after the 1960s. We will undoubtedly be saved by the wisdom of the past.
Overhear confidential discussions. In each of the three chapters, pick a character to spy on, and at the conclusion, you’ll be able to access an extra level centered around that individual.
Work out a conspiracy by solving point-and-click puzzles. A mysterious, masked stranger tests your cunning with adventure game-style puzzles in between chapters. What might be his real purpose and identity?
