Dog Days

Since Dog Days was one of my first games, it’s quite simple, and the text is a touch sloppy.

In this brief game, you are cursed by a witch to gradually change into a dog. There are three possible outcomes.

Since it was originally written as a fully interactive fiction game (the kind where you have to input “go north,” “look tree,” and “get ye flask”), the game was a little more complex. It required the use of a tool like Gargoyle. We didn’t have Twine back then!

A few years later, I changed it to a Twine CYOA, which also made it much shorter and easier. Although it wasn’t the first CYOA game I had ever played, it was one of just two that people seemed to recall. To be honest, I hope to host a traditional old school IF again in the future, if I can figure out how to make it happen.

If you got here expecting Dormaus Valley, I have some sad news, the hosting for Dormaus Valley and all the games on that site was dropped due to a complaint by an American organisation that it was adult content.

I will be uploading those old games here where possible, but there is a chance some of them may not be hostable due to the ancient HTML stuff involved with them.
