In your remote, little mountain community, a plague has struck.
The inhabitants in your hamlet are among the many who pray to God for mercy. However, earlier customs have been preserved by years of isolation. an older deity. For as long as you can remember, the Pale Lady, formerly known as the White Wolf, has protected your people from bloodshed and battle and defends your town from heresy allegations.
She only requests a dreamer once every 10 years in exchange.
Some are optimistic that your punishment has finally ended when she dispatches her knights into your hamlet following a protracted period of uncertainty during which many of your fellow villagers have perished or fled.
You are carried up the mountain and into the Pale Lady’s magnificent stronghold after being selected by her. However, the sickness and an uncontrollably contagious hunger are present even within Wolfenstone’s lofty walls.
A dark romance interactive fiction game about vampires and the black death, DREAM EATER is (largely) linear. You take on the role of a young, lonely, and impressionable country girl in southeast Europe who is selected to be the newest dreamer of the Pale Lady. However, your new existence at Wolfenstone is not at all what you had anticipated, and you are unable to avoid the plague’s gory reach even inside the Pale Lady’s castle. You have to choose who to put your trust in while you fight to adapt and survive. as well as hunger. Kaja Yoss, the knight; Una, another bloodmaid; or the Pale Lady herself?
Only Part I, which has been published for submission to the Queer Vampire Jam 2026, is now playable. When the game is finished, it will feature five sections.
Note: This is a gloomy medieval fantasy set in the late medieval era; certain elements, such as the Great Mortality, are based on actual events and are depicted as authentically as possible. Although the player character’s hometown and the city of Tanzil are completely made up, there are still some anachronisms. I’ve added a number of made-up terms that are unique to the fantasy culture and religion of this remote community; these terms will be underlined when they appear in the text for the first time.
