You take on the role of a character in Family of Choice, whose life takes an unexpected turn. After hearing the devastating news of your father’s passing, you reflect back on the turbulent history you shared with your parents and the abandonment of your father. Thirteen years ago, you fled your childhood home to live with your cousin and your erratic Aunt Magda. Now that your father has passed away, you visit your mother and sisters at home, discovering long-kept family secrets and facing suppressed feelings. The house is filled with memories, unsolved disputes, and healing potential. You will also meet your father’s daughter and his new wife, who is now his widow, as you explore. Make decisions that affect your identity, relationships, and need for closure. Will you choose to find the truth among these three households, or will you take command and take your rightful place as the leader of the household?

Hello everyone,  I’m NineRoseRings the creator of the game Family of Choice. Originally, I started this game as more of a passion project back in early 2022, with no intention of releasing it because I thought of it as  just a hobby. I worked on it whenever I had spare time, but life got in the way with new job / moving , and other responsibilities.

However, in the past two months, I’ve picked up development again. I’ve gone back and re-rendered some scenes from Day 1 and made some changes to the story (Lol, for some parts idk what I was thinking back in 2022). I’ve also reconsidered sharing the game publicly. If I’m going to create this game, why not upload it to get feedback? Especially because when I look back at my work from two years ago, I can already think of numerous critiques and ways to improve the game. You know what they say, “Two minds are better than one.”
