In a planet where steel monsters known as “Aberrations” are the biggest threat to Earth, “Arbiters,” or “magical girls,” as many refer to them, are strong enough to defeat nuclear weapons. In the middle of a military installation, humanity’s ray of hope is surrounded by a skeleton crew of insane scientists who labor nonstop on whatever bizarre experiments their contractor wants.

The only relict left for the position is secret agent Helena Slater, who is used as a last resort to separate and protect the Arbiters’ abilities before it’s too late.

In other words, practical experimentation. individually. in its entirety. gruesomely.

Slater does the job, but she is a shadow of the person she used to be. She promises to put her all into her newest patient, but the Arbiter has one straightforward condition:

“I was told you would teach me how to be human.”
