ABOUT THE GAME

Slipstream Daydreams is a retrofuturistic visual novel about messy gay romance and antigravity racing that was inspired by the year 2000. Watch as Orion Cruz, the Anti-Gravity Racing League’s emerging star, speeds through the championship round and reflects on their interactions with other drivers over their rookie season. Which romantic flashbacks you witness depends on your fleeting decisions!

Themes of identity, the curse of celebrity, anti-capitalism, and a hint of cyberpunk hacking are all explored in Slipstream Daydreams.

PERSONAS

Being a high-speed, antigravity racer champion is Orion’s dream come true. Early in their careers, they have upended the sport’s established order, which was formerly dominated by bigger teams with significantly more funding than Buoyant, a courageous, more recent squad committed to encouraging participation from those from poorer socioeconomic backgrounds. Apart from racing, they enjoy DJing at illegal raves as well as dancing to music.

Can they win the top spot on the podium? Or will the track be doomed by its inexpensive cybernetic enhancements?

Capital is without a doubt the antigravity racing prince of our generation. Encouraged by his affluent family to excel as a driver and a star, he has been racing with Means Conglomerate since making his debut at the age of 18. Although he has a detached attitude about it—it’s his life, but it’s still just a job to him—he is very skilled and enjoys adjusting his schedule and working with the team. Interviews, modeling, small-scale acting, advertising work, and other aspects of celebrity keep him quite busy.

Is it possible for Orion to penetrate Capital’s professional exterior and discover his true identity? Or is there really nothing underneath the surface of perfection?

In the Anti-Gravity Racing League, Maxime is the most contentious racer currently competing. Numerous public altercations with their team management, along with their aggressive driving that verges on violence, have resulted in a great deal of negative publicity. They have made it apparent that they wish to restore AG racing to its more untamed, gritty beginnings and eliminate its economic component. Maxime enjoys experimenting with technology, hacking, and jailbreaking hardware for personal gain.

Will their career be ruined by Maxime’s infatuation with Orion? Or will they together bring in a new era of anti-gravity racing?
