Built in Twine/SugarCube, The First Gods is an adult-themed epic tribe-survival role-playing game.

You pretend to be something that shouldn’t be: a fully developed primordial world, an adult body devoid of life, and a conscious mind rising in the blank. A baby’s mentality. impulses from the past. And a group of mortals who will get older, but not you.

This is a generational tale about belief, power, survival, and consequences. Your people will follow you because you persevere and provide because it is more than enough in this world, not because you are “the protagonist.”

You start with nothing but fragments: information that seems forgotten rather than acquired, half-memories that resemble prophecies. A small prehistoric tribe that is on the verge of starvation finds you as you descend into an untamed country of rivers and woods.

Years go by. decades. generations.

You pick things up fast. Clean healing occurs in wounds. There is never illness. The tribe ages. You don’t.

And when the land starts to collapse, you guide them into the dark, toward a rich, secret area that feels both like a trap and like a shelter.
