Calideya (“Caly”) Noorani

“Shooting might not fix all the problems, but it definitely solves most of them.”

Calideya (“Caly”) Noorani, who was raised with understanding and devoted parents on Mars, was going about her workday like any sane person would.

But while she’s fixing the space station, a full-scale extraterrestrial invasion of Earth erupts, cutting short her space trek. She disappears from her world and enters another in an instant.

The last time an engineer was left in charge of our house, everything worked out fine. Ensuring Caly has the same amount of luck is the player’s task. Hopefully, rumors of post-abduction questioning are overblown.

Oh, they’re not?

Traits: She merely wants to get along with others and is obstinate, chatty, bold, and hot-headed. You can’t possibly hope to get this girl to sit down and accept anything calmly without getting hurt in the process.

No matter how few resources are available, she will make every effort to improve any unfavorable circumstance. Even though Caly is a bit of a clutz, her engineering work is unmatched.

Everything and everyone is entitled to an equal opportunity. Caly is that moral code’s living example.

Haar

“Slave Trafficking? Not on my watch!”

Haar is an outcast from somewhere he won’t talk about doing stuff he REALLY doesn’t enjoy talking about. The large, plump man and his even more enigmatic AI partner, Jens, operate the spacecraft Setek together.

Despite his rough attitude, he truly appreciates having Caly in his life. Flying alone isn’t as easy as it seems, even with Jens. Right now… If only he could get rid of the purple-haired hellcat that was always taking him to scary places.

But he has a deep affection for Caly and wants to keep her safe. With time, he’s come to think of himself as a protective, encouraging older brother. Caly worries constantly when he’s not on board, and he’s the worst at hiding it. Without her knowledge, he constantly surreptitiously checks in on her to make sure she’s still moving.

Everyone is aware of how overly anxious he is, but no one has the audacity or self-control to try to talk to him about it.

Favorite Food: Roast anything.

Kinks: He’s let slip that his ex got him really into trying out ‘exotic’ races. He likes to be in control most of the time, but get his guard down and he might hand over the reigns.

Preferred Weapon: The biggest and heaviest one.

Vas

“There is little I have not done, honey. Both on the battlefield and on the bed.”

The hellcat with purple hair.

Caly was the happiest lady in the universe when Vas first met her. She had made a fresh discovery! And a clever thing! 

Vas was confident that Caly would bring in a hefty sum at auction.

Vasalenti is nasty, loud, rude, aggressive, and the greatest wingman you’ll ever have—as long as that back stays in her line of sight.

Even if she is Caly’s buddy and savior, Caly is still just a fun time and a one-way trip to payday.

In relation to Caly, Vas hasn’t enjoyed torturing someone this much in a long time. For her, Caly is ideal in every aspect. She can play with her, protect her, and give her a year’s worth of untreated emotional trauma that would have required five years of therapy.

Vas is an interesting character, and Caly is incredibly appreciative to have her on her side.

Favorite Food: Strawberry Creme Parfait

Kinks: Yes. As long as I like you. And I do. For now. More alcohol? Thank you, now where were we? My kinks, or yours?

Preferred Weapon: SP-260 Automatic, x12 modular scope with a support rail and two extra mags.

Body Count: Sex or death? Kinda lost count of both, stops mattering after a while.

Jens

Haar’s peculiar AI helper.

It appears that he is extremely intelligent. However, he’s also a little bit… busted. .. Perhaps.

Despite being nice to everyone around him, he doesn’t talk much about his work or protocols. Perhaps he doesn’t know for himself? It would be redundant to say “who knows” at this stage.

He frequently attempts to use humor, sarcasm, and other “human” traits when conversing. The only issue is that he does a terrible job at it and, without realizing it, makes everyone feel worse. He once made an attempt to assist but ended up just broadcasting a very awkward moment.

Honest, he means good.

Though Jens’ Artificial Life is flourishing, some issues still need to be resolved. That is, if they are not bugs, which would be alarming. We are unable to rule out the possibility. Jens is an enigmatic person. 

When an AI engineer bot believes he is alone himself, why does he converse with himself?

Jens serves as the Setek’s engineer and proudly shows it off to Caly. He is a constant source of guidance, support, knowledge, and more for the crew of Haar’s dependable vessel.
