The free one-shot Danganronpa fangame “Who Wants to Be an Ultimate? -retake-” was made with RPG Maker MV.
Since this is a spin-off project, the game’s plot is completely unrelated to the forthcoming main series of “Who Wants to Be a Utlimate?”
For the Fangans for Hope Jam in January 2026, this project was completed in a single month.
An individual who was thought upon by the Ultimate Scouting Organization as a potential Ultimate title bearer but ultimately did not obtain it.
“Who Wants to Be an Ultimate?” was supposed to be their second opportunity to win an Ultimate championship. A reality program where they could compete directly against Ultimates and the world could see their value. However, two mascots posing as the showrunners would cage the eight Nulltimates and seven Ultimates in an enigmatic hotel and force them to play a killing game. They would inform them that the only way out is to murder a cast member.
