Social Contract
OVERVIEW
In the game Social Contract, you take on the role of an anonymous bounty hunter entrusted with eliminating CEOs of major corporations and other annoyances to the government’s schemes in a brutally violent, fast-paced environment where one wrong move could mean instant death. Overspending? A target is placed on your head. Providing food for the underprivileged? A target is placed on your head.
It doesn’t matter if you take out your target and keep the target off your head by keeping civilians out of harm’s way. You can choose to go loud and proud or sneak around the levels. You can also biologically augment yourself into oblivion and walk through bullets like a cloud of smoke. Talk to NPC’s littered around the map for information on your targets whereabouts, how to find them, and maybe even other secrets hidden withing each mission. The possibilities are endless.
GAMEPLAY
Utilize various weapons that you find scattered around the stages, and when you locate new entrances and secret passageways that work better for your current loadout, beat the clock and employ those weapons in subsequent tasks.
Locate your target by speaking with NPCs, but take cautious not to murder them. Your payout will be impacted. The guards won’t matter; their deaths will bring in some money for you.
Upgrade your character by purchasing implants, which may be purchased for as little as 1% of the price and used to physiologically alter your character to make tasks easier.
Be careful, however, as most of the time being shot means being killed, and being killed means restarting, without unlocking any weapons you pick up. But, as quickly as you may be killed, so too may you kill the guards dotted around the levels. So always try to get the jump on them, or sneak around the level and don’t be spotted. The choice is yours.
Sell items and trinkets you find on an ever changing market, where your reputation with different companies directly affects the prices you sell, or buy for. Killed the CEO of a company? Don’t expect them to sell cheap unless you make up for it by killing their competitors.
Perhaps even find some hidden levels, accessable by exploring other levels. You never know how deep the rabbit hole goes.
