New Pred in Town

Every year, renowned writer and infamous predator K. Six budding authors are selected by M. Lyons to get one-on-one mentoring. The drawback? She intends to eat and digest the student who wrote the least good novel at the conclusion of the year. Liz Newcomb, a young predator, has been dreaming about this chance for years, and now that it’s hers… Will she be able to settle down in the large metropolis, meet Lyons’ expectations for her work, and weather the escalating vore problem of the twenty-first century?

An adult graphic novel called New Pred in Town centers on the vore obsession.  Its universe had a somewhat different evolutionary path for humans. All women are biologically capable of swallowing people whole, but most go a whole lifetime without digesting another person. Those who do are not treated as criminals but something else entirely – the predator is a complicated figure in society, both huntress and hunted. She is her community’s defense against scum and villainy, yet the last person they will stand up for should she run afoul of a more dangerous predator.

That’s how things were intended to operate, anyhow. In the modern world, as societal taboos erode and more young women choose predation, the 21st-Century Vore Crisis has begun to spiral out of control…

Playing card battler/deckbuilder is a feature of New Pred in Town. Characters that are prey must fight to make predators feel sick before they are consumed, while the predator tries to contain her prey, soothe the nausea, or take in vital oxygen by burping. Utilizing deft technique combinations and knowing which way the victim is facing might mean the difference between life and death!

Throughout the narrative, Liz will come across intriguing characters, struggle with questions of community and purpose, and discover her position in a world that is becoming more and more unclear. and do her hardest not to get ingested by other harmful predators!

It was a pleasure to put together New Pred in Town, which has a roguelike Endless Mode, a professionally made music selection, a hand-drawn user interface, and so much more to come! About 60% of the writing for the first in-game day, or six of the fourteen vore sequences, are covered in the current alpha. The project will take several years to reach its full potential. Each season will include four weeks of gaming, plus an unspecified number of stand-alone days to cover  holidays and other important events in Liz’s year.
