Martin Kane’s numerous debts put a pall over his once secure life in the sad events that befell him. But fate had a funny way of guiding him toward an unanticipated development. 

Martin’s life took an unexpected turn when he was appointed to look after an ancient manor that had a sinister reputation and scared the locals. There were rumors of ghosts and long-forgotten secrets around the manor. Its aged appearance belies its age, and anyone brave enough to enter was filled with an enigmatic aura that made them feel afraid. Some mentioned hearing spectral noises in the dead of night, while others made vague allusions to secret passageways and chambers that held countless mysteries. As Martin settled into his new position, he couldn’t help but wonder if the stories about the Manor were based on centuries-old mythology or if the manor was indeed haunted.
