OVERVIEW

A tech demo that offers a sneak peek at a larger project centered around the concept of free-use fantasy, whereby non-player characters (NPCs) have fascinating lives and game mechanics and reality merge.

You, the player, are engrossed in a world where other characters function as standard non-player characters (NPCs) and only respond when specific game features are triggered. However, as the player, you can transcend these limitations and interact with the environment in ways that go beyond basic gaming.

Mechanics:

Players will travel through the tale and connect with characters where they can have personal interactions by combining free usage mechanics with role-playing game components.

The mechanics that will be included in the complete game are teased in this demo.

With the majority of the intended mechanics for the entire game, it presently only features one character. The entire game will have a plot, several characters, and more role-playing elements.

Learn spells to engage with other characters more, hone your thieving talents to steal from NPCs covertly, boost your charm stats to entice other characters, and more such mechanics are in the works!

HOW TO PLAY (Keyboard)

Use Enter to advance dialogue and activate the interface.
Press Space to advance the dialogue without selecting choices
Hit the Arrow keys to navigate the interface.
Press Escape to access the game menu.
Use CTRL to skip the dialogue while held down.
Select Tab to toggle dialogue skipping.
Press the Page up to roll back to the earlier dialogue.
Press H to hide the user interface.
Use S to take a screenshot.
Use V to toggle assistive self-voicing.
Press Shift+A to open the accessibility menu.

HOW TO PLAY (Mouse)

Left click– Advances dialogue and activates the interface.
Middle click– Hides the user interface.
Right-click– Accesses the game menu.
Mouse Wheel up click rollback side– Rolls back to earlier dialogue.
Mouse Wheel down– Rolls Forward to later dialogue.
